Sashie Leroux was a cuddly little part of our family for 15 years. She loved to curl up in anyone’s lap — but particularly with Nicholas. In her younger years, she used to dance for her cheese every morning! She always looked forward to her visits to Smith Island, and riding with Nick in the basket of his bicycle. In her golden years, she continued to love her cheese, bananas and pears, but no longer had the strength to dance. Sashie, we’ll never forget your “cheese dance”! These past few summers, since she lost her sight, she used to spend her days lying outside in the warmth of the sun. We’ll miss you Sashie, but we know that you are back with Nick — loving him as much as he loves you.
